About Me
I must start off by saying that until recently, I did not know what to believe about God. I’m now 38 years young and have been walking through life without really knowing about God. I’d never read the bible, never had interest in it and thought it was just a bunch of stories that have nothing to do with my life. Things began to change for me when I started watching Joel Osteen on TV a little over two months ago. I was fascinated with his unwaivering spirit to serve the lord. His unique way of inspiring people to be the best they can be is extremely encourgaging. His humorous jokes and stories about himself and others break up the seriousness of the topic. I found myself being able to relate to what he was saying. This inspired me to look into learning about our God. So I started downloading all of his podcasts. I listened to him on the way to work and on the way home. Each podcast I listened to made me understand that we are all god’s children and have abundant favor coming our way. All we have to do is show the same unwaivering faith for the lord that Joel shows. It was clear that I was living a life that could be so much more fullfilling if I would live it the way God intended me to. After listening to over 40 podcasts, I went out and bought the book, Joel Osteen “Your Best Life Now” 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential. I’m 70 pages into the book now and have been changing my life since the first page. For those of you who have not read it yet, I highly recommend that you do. Its inspiring and educational at the same time.
I don’t have many religious friends to talk to, nor am I ready to join a church. So I started looking for an outlet were I can converse with others who listen to Joel. After looking at his website, I realized that he did not provide a place for his ministry followers to converse, discuss, support and pray with each other. That’s why I created www.JoelOsteenForum.com. This forum will enable people to talk about his sermons, his books, the bible, pray and so much more. Keep in mind, that I am in no way affiliated with Joel Osteen Ministries or Lakewood Church.
